Apply for financial support via the Cost-of-Living Assistance Scheme

We’ve reopened our scheme to help students facing additional costs due to the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.

A £250 one-off grant (a grant does not need to be paid back) will be awarded to students who are struggling to pay their day-to-day expenses and accommodation costs.

The scheme is open to fully enrolled UK and International undergraduate and postgraduate taught and research students.

Please read the guidance on applying for the scheme before submitting your application. Incomplete or missing evidence will delay your assessment and may result in your application being rejected.

To be eligible for the grant, you must explain how you have been affected by the ongoing cost-of-living crisis. You will need to upload your accommodation contract or tenancy/mortgage agreement. If you live at home with parents, you can upload their accommodation contract.

You must also upload bank statements for all your bank accounts for the last two months prior to the date of your application (including savings accounts).

It's super easy to apply, and all applications will be considered, regardless of the criteria.

Apply via the Cost-of-Living Assistance Scheme form.
