For many, the certificate is a career-changing opportunity that leads to project management or consultancy work in one of the large UK or international government or non-government organisations.

The following sought-after skills will become part of your CV: PRINCE2® Foundation, product-based planning, risk management.

Accreditations

PRINCE2® is accredited by PeopleCert on behalf of AXELOS.

Course delivery

Teaching and assessment

This course is taught and examined in English.

The course requires a first pass of all the material in the official manual, so it is important that you do some reading before the course starts. We will provide you with pre-course material that explains what reading is expected before beginning the course. Pre-course work is expected to take approximately 15 hours. We also provide access to the online learning environment, Blackboard, before the course starts.

The course consists of a series of lectures and group exercises over three days. The lectures introduce the method’s terminology, then we will discuss case studies to explain how to use the method in practice. Candidates are given a scenario, which will allow them to apply the method during the training sessions using group exercises.

We will provide supplementary learning material via the online learning environment. At the end of each day, multiple-choice questions will be used to recap the day’s learning as preparation for the exam.

The exam is a PeopleCert Online Proctored Exam. You will get an exam voucher from us and you then book your exam with PeopleCert, at a date of your choosing. Your PRINCE2® 7 Foundation exam must be sat within six weeks of the end of your course.

For your online proctored exam, you must ensure your computer and the room you choose to take your exam in meet the minimum requirements. More information can be found on the PeopleCert websiteGo to the PeopleCert website.

The exam is closed book, 60 minutes long, and consists of 60 multiple-choice questions. The pass mark is 60% and it leads to the official PRINCE2® 7 Foundation certificate.
