About me
Dr Brenda Patil (PhD, MBA, BSc, FHEA) is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Marketing and a Course Leader for MSc Digital Marketing Management Course at School of Management and Marketing, University of Westminster.
Prior to joining Westminster. Brenda worked as a Lecturer in Marketing at University of Lincoln, as a Post Graduate Research Intern at Anglia Ruskin University and with Higher Education sector in London for over 12 years. Apart from this, Brenda has provided consultancy services to start-up, micro and small business in adopting digital technologies to increase visibility and searchability. Also, enhance their website design to improve brand personality and appeal.
Brenda holds a PhD in Digital Marketing from Anglia Ruskin University, a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Wales and a BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics and Statistics from India.
Teaching
Her teaching areas include digital and direct marketing campaign strategy, interactive digital marketing and digital customer experience.
Research
Brenda's main research interests lie in the area of Digital Marketing, with particular focus on multi digital platforms, E-commerce and omnichannel adoption within start-ups. Brenda’s research advocates the use of digital export entry modes such as digital platforms and tools adopted by SMEs for the processes of internationalisation.
Some of the research areas of interest include: social media, digital customer experience, impact of analytics, among others.
In addition, Brenda has been attended well recognised conferences, presented her research findings and published a paper at one of them.
