About me
I am now a part-time visiting lecturer having retired as a principal lecturer in 2018 after fifteen years working at the University of Westminster. As well as doing some occasional teaching I continue to undertake some research.
I was formerly the course leader for MA Urban and Regional Planning and led on the development of BA Designing Cities.
Prior to becoming an academic I worked as an architect and on urban regeneration policy. I was a founder member of Matrix Feminist Design Cooperative.
Research
I am currently investigating the extent to which obtaining planning permission is an obstacle to retrofitting homes to reduce carbon emissions. I am also editing a handbook on urban design research with Professor Marion Roberts.
