About me
I have a background in social sciences with many years experience working as a researcher within the fields of criminal justice, industry and healthcare. My teaching experience includes adult and higher education and working as a trainer within the public and independent sectors. My research has focused on client and patient perceptions of service delivery in a range of public sector settings; employer and employees' evaluation of advanced professional development in social work; and staff attitude surveys in a range of national organisations.
In addition to working at Westminster, I run RPD a consultancy which specialises in teaching clinical audit.
Qualifications
BSc Social Sciences, Dip Teaching in Higher and Audit Education, and PhD Social Policy.
Teaching
From 2003 to 2010, I led the MSc Integrated Governance for Health and Social Care, and am now programme leader for the Professional Doctorate in Life Sciences. My teaching inputs are related to clinical risk management, and qualitative research design.
Research
I am part of the Patient Experience research group within the School of Life Sciences with a particular interest in the study of clinical audit and healthcare governance.
External Examiner for the PgC Clinical Audit at Sheffield Hallam University.
