About me
I completed my undergraduate degree in Art History at the University of St Andrews, and then did an MA in Medieval Studies at Birkbeck, University of London. I have lived in France, where I became bilingual in French and English. I hold the Institute of Linguists' Diploma in Translation, and am certified as an examiner for the official French government DELF/DALF examinations in French.
Teaching
I have taught French in higher education in the UK since 2001. I have taught all levels, from beginners to final year students. I also teach translation from French to English.
Research
My PhD thesis is: "Reading Connectivity in the Shoah and Transatlantic Slavery: Developing a Framework Alert to Memory, Trauma and the Inscription of the Human"
