Voluntary design and build is a small charity that is involved in working with groups of architecture students and graduates to design and construct building projects for underprivileged communities.
2007 - 2008
Tarlungeni Children's centre: Project leader during the design and construction of a children's centre for the Roma Community in the village of Tarlungeni, Romania.
2008
Gabriels Wharf Bandstand: Project leader for the design and construction of a new bandstand for Gabriels Wharf, London. This was a joint venture between vD&B and Coin Street Community Builders.
AOC Architecture
AOC are a small London based practice recently short listed for the Young Architects of the Year Award. Crown Terrace: Family housing for Elephant and Castle, Southwark. The Lift: A demountable theatre and meeting space designed for the London International Festival of Theatre. Charles Dickens Primary School: Phase 1 refurbishment of entance to create a new accessible entrance and a new welcome for the school in Southwark. Helenslea Avenue: Refurbishment of a 1914 residential property in Golders Green for a family of 5. Polyopoly Venezia: Exhibition in the Itallion Pavillion 'Out There' curated by Aaron Betsky at the Venice Bienalle 2008.
RIBA Validation Panel: I am currently a graduate member of the RIBA Education Validation Panel.
Past SHIFTS Exhibition design Mar- Aug 07 [contract value £37,000] An exhibition funded by the Scottish Executive at The Lighthouse in Glasgow [Scottish centre of Architecture and Design] to make projections into the future of the Central Belt of Scotland.
Alford Hall Monaghan Morris [Architectural Assistant] 04-06/07 Part of the team responsible for the masterplan for the 2012 Olympics Athletes village.
From the Ground Up Exhibition design Jan-Feb 07 We constructed a small timber frame exhibition pavilion at The Lighthouse Gallery, Glasgow. The exhibition has since been exhibited as part of Architecture week 07 in the P3 Gallery, University of Westminster.

RIBA Research Symposium : Reflections in Practice [Lecture] Sept 07 : Presented 'Adventures in making' a paper written to describe the work of voluntary Design & Build as an alternative approach to practice.
Architect's Choice Dec 06 : Selected for architects choice magazine's panel of experts in their 'Question Time' Article.
