Teaching

I am a module leader for Contemporary Issues in Economics (6ECON030W) a level-6 core module for BSc Business Economics students. The module offers students the opportunity to carry out a piece of sustained independent study in the form of a written dissertation focussing on a current pervading theme in Economics. As a dissertation supervisor for my class I have tried to design and plan research-oriented and research-based teachings in my classes to give my students knowledge on research methods to write a good dissertation (e.g. research objectives, literature review, appropriate sources, referencing and an appropriate methodology). My duties also involved liaison with the rest of the teaching team, management of assessment marking and responding to external examiner concerns etc. I am also a constant member of the teaching team for Global Business Environment (4BUSS001W) which is problem-basedonline learning module. I have delivered lectures, workshops and seminars as required.  I had been the part of the teaching teams for HRMIC706 Human Resource Management in Business Context, BMAM700 Analysis of Business Environment, International Economy and Global Economic Issues for various years. In addition to my duties outlined above my other teaching duties included workshop lecturing and leading seminars and dissertation supervision on a wide range of modules at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels I was nominated for Staff Appreciation Award 2015 Tutor / Supervisor category and I strongly believe that this nomination was mainly, for the successful supervision and designing my seminars to deal with diversity of students in my classes.
