About me

I completed my BA at the University of Westminster in 2016. I am now pursuing a PhD with the Department of History, Sociology and Criminology on urban regeneration.

My research specifically focuses on ethnic minority working-class youth in South Kilburn. A key feature of the research is that it engages with a largely ignored population within gentrification and regeneration debates. Further, I engage with less privileged forms of research methods such as autoethnographic research methods and social media research methods - as my research is concerned with decolonizing knowledge and forms of knowledge production.

Teaching

I have 4 years experience of working as a Visiting Lecturer and I am currently undertaking a Lecture and Social Sciences subject lead position with CETI at the University of Westminster. At the moment I am working closely with and supporting students on the Foundation Pathway at the University of Westminster.

Research

I have conducted research for the Social Sciences team at the University of Westminster working on the 'Routes to Roots' Research Project with Dr Adam Eldridge and Dr Dorrie Chetty.

I am currently conducting my own doctoral research which is ongoing. My multimethod research involves: autoethnographic research methods, Social media research and semi-structured interviews.
