Teaching

I taught Middle East Politics at the University of Westminster from 2007 to 2023 at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Research

I specialise in gender, war and violence in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), with a particular focus on Palestinian refugee women in Lebanon, the politics of Islamic resistance, and memory and displacement in the context of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. My work is informed by ethnographic fieldwork in the region, which I have been conducting since the early 1990s. I have published extensively.
