About me

Dr Galina Gornostaeva is a Senior Lecturer in Sustainability, Operations and Supply Chain Management. Prior Joining the University of Westminster she studied economic geography in Moscow, Russia, and worked at various universities, including: de I’Universite libre de Bruxelles, Belgium; Ecole Centrale de Lille, France; LSE, UK.

She teaches on a range of courses related to sustainable cities, supply chain management, digital and sustainable business. She has a long experience in postgraduate supervision and led more than 50 students to successful completion since 2013.

Dr Gornostaeva is an experienced researcher with interests in sustainable supply chains, e-commerce; entrepreneurship and global production networks of start-ups and small independent producing and servicing firms; international supply chains, especially related to fashion retail and manufacturing; digital and sustainable business. She publishes in respectable academic journals and participated in ESRC and European funded projects.

Research

My research is focusing on sustainable global production networks, supply chains and operations management, internationalization and entrepreneurship, e-commerce.  My sectors of interest are digital business, fashion and apparel, film and television industry.
