About me
Dr Uzo is a Lecturer in the School of Management and Marketing with teaching and research interest in a range of multidisciplinary areas such as leadership, human resources management, employability, entrepreneurship, marketing, ethics and sustainability. He holds a PhD in Business and Management from Loughborough University. Professional membership includes being a Fellow HEA and CIPD.
Prior to joining the Westminster Business School, Dr Uzo had faculty affiliation as an associate lecturer at the Guildhall Business School London Metropolitan University, Business School University of West London and Northeast College of Technology Surrey. He has versatile career footprints across industry sectors and has held managerial roles, including in multinational manufacturing, sales and distribution (FMCG), higher education, management consulting, and third-sector organisations. These professional experiences reflect in his deep knowledge and understanding of the needs of the industry and contemporary teaching pedagogy rooted in a student-centered and lifelong learning approach in facilitating broad streams of academic modules that effectively equip the students with the demands of a highly dynamic knowledge-based economy. In terms of professional practice, he has managed and consulted for various organisations in executive search and selection, talent management, training, competencies and capability development, organizational transformation, performance management, work based learning and vocational competency assessment, employee relations, and strategic management.
He enjoys the game of football, cycling, and volunteering and serves as a trustee of a charity and community interest organisations.

Research
His research is in the area of human resources management and intersection of business, occupation, economy and society. The use of organisational ethnography in management research and critical management studies are fields he finds very interesting and will be happy to collaborate with fellow academics and students in these research streams.
