About me
I have worked in the construction industry for 30 years and have a wide range of industry sector experience including aviation, commercial office, health care pharmaceutical and museums. I have been fortunate to work on some prestigious projects over the years including Glaxo Smithcline's World Headquarters in Brentford and The British Museum Great Court Project.
As a Chartered Civil Engineer I started work with a Main Contractor which gave me the experience to work with Mace on construction management projects. I've worked as a client project manager and latterly focused on design and pre construction project management.
I have worked on projects ranging in value from a few hundred thousand pounds to billions.
Teaching
My teaching has included 6 years full time at the University and at a point in time I was the course leader for Construction Management. I am now a part time visiting lecturer and teach at both undergraduate and post graduate levels.
Research
I am not currently actively engaged in research activities beyond the day to day challenge of running construction projects.
I am actively developing my understanding of Building Information Management to bring benefits to the industry.
