About me
Dr Hassan Amar is a Senior Lecturer in Project Management in the School of Applied Management at Westminster Business School. Hassan completed his Doctorate and MSc degrees in the field of Project Management from University of Bedfordshire. He is an Engineer by profession and has considerable experience of working in an electronic manufacturing industry where he functioned in process engineer and project manager roles.
Hassan has been serving more than five years in UK academia now. Hassan started his lecturing career as a visiting faculty in 2016 from the University of Bedfordshire and London School of Commerce (LSC). Later, he worked as Lecturer and Senior Lecturer for Coventry and Nottingham Trent Universities respectively before joining Westminster.
Hassan is a Senior Fellow of HEA (AdvanceHE), a Member of the APM (MAPM), has attained Post-graduate Certificate in Academic Practice in HE (PGCAPHE) and holds Examiner Examiner positions at University of Essex and Buckinghamshire New University demonstrating his sound knowledge about the teaching, learning and practice principles.
Teaching
Hassan's main teaching interests are in the area of project and risk management, operations, supply chain and logistic management. Hassan has also vast experience of teaching at the UG and PG levels.
Research
Hassan is an active researcher and has reasonable amount of publications in well-reputed journals and conferences. Hassan has supervised many research projects at the UG and PG levels where guided and directed students towards completing their dissertations. Hassan also served as a part of supervisory team for a DBA student at Nottingham Trent University and has completed necessary training for supervising PhD/DBA students.
