Chevening Scholarship

Amount: Fully funded - see terms and conditions on Chevening website

Deadline: Applications for a September 2025 course start are now closed. Please check their website from summer 2025 when applications for a September 2026 course start will open.

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme for overseas fee-paying students. This fully-funded scholarship covers flights, accommodation and course fees to undertake a one-year Master's course at any UK university.

GREAT Scholarship September 2025

Amount: £10,000

Deadline: 23 June 2025

GREAT Scholarships are jointly funded by the University of Westminster with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign and the British Council. We are offering one £10,000 scholarship towards tuition fees for a September 2025 one-year master’s programme to students from Thailand.

Sanctuary Scholarship 

Amount: Full tuition fee waiver and £1000/month for up to 12 months

Deadline: 22 November 2024

The University offers three Postgraduate Sanctuary Scholarships to support students seeking asylum or with refugee status living in the United Kingdom who are not eligible to receive postgraduate financial support from Student Finance. It covers full tuition costs, plus a maintenance grant of £1,000 per month for up to 12 months.

Home Postgraduate Part Fee Scholarship January 2025

Amount: £2,000

Deadline: 22 November 2024

The University offers a number of £2,000 scholarships for Home fee students with a 2.1 Honours degree. Part-time students are also eligible to apply.

International Postgraduate Part Fee Scholarship January 2025

Amount: £3,000

Deadline: 22 November 2024

This scholarship provides a one-off £3,000 tuition fee award and is open to full-time postgraduate overseas fee-paying students who meet eligibility criteria and have a course offer for January 2025.

International Postgraduate Excellence Award September 2025 

Amount: £3,000

Deadline: 2 June 2025

The International Postgraduate Excellence Award is designed to support international students who have achieved academic excellence and show passion for their chosen field of study. We're offering scholarships for high-achieving international students, covering £3,000 towards your full time Master’s tuition fees.

International Sporting Excellence Award

Amount: £2,500 – £5,000

The International Sporting Excellence Awardis designed to support international students at undergraduate or postgraduate level who are performing or playing sport at an elite level or show strong evidence of future outstanding potential.

The International School Excellence Award is available for undergraduate students who are currently studying or who have recently graduated from an International School based outside of the UK. Applicants must demonstrate academic excellence and show passion for their chosen field of study.
