Enrolment

When submitting information in our online Applicant Portal, you'll need to provide some documents and photos as evidence of your ID and qualifications. You'll find full details in the Applicant Portal, but below are some key tips, so that you can prepare.

Documents

  • If you've been issued with a BRP (Biometric Residence Permit) card, you'll need to upload a photo of both sides of this
  • If you've been issued with an online status, you'll need to provide your share code (you can get a share code via Gov.uk)
  • If you've been issued with a Vignette (visa sticker in your passport – see examples on Gov.uk), you'll need to upload a photo of this and proof of your date of entry into the UK, for example:
    • a border entry stamp in your passport OR
    • your flight boarding pass with your flight tickets
  • If you have a sponsor, you'll need to upload a scanned copy of your sponsor letter or other documentation

Photo of you

You'll need to upload a clear, recent photo of yourself – this should be in the style of a passport photo (ie portrait that includes your head and shoulders) but must be different to the photo in your passport or ID, as we will compare the two photos to verify your identity. This photo will also be used on your student ID card.

  • Your British Residence Permit (BRP) card if you have been able to collect it (you can also share this with us at a later date) or a share code if you have not already provided it
  • Proof of any fee payments made or scholarship/funding letters

If you'll be arriving in the UK after your course induction due to visa delays or flight issues, you'll have more opportunities to complete your enrolment during teaching weeks one and two.

We'll be running late enrolment sessions where you can have your documents checked and collect your student ID card. Find dates and timings for these on our Enrolment for new students page.

If you cannot get to the UK before the enrolment deadline of Monday 5 February 2024, contact your admissions officer, who may be able to offer you a place during our next intake period. It's crucial that you contact your admissions officer as soon as you can to discuss deferral options.

If you have the status of 'Temporarily enrolled' and need to show us your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP card), you can either do this in your scheduled enrolment and ID card collection time slot, or at a late enrolment session in teaching weeks one and two. Details will be added here nearer the start of term.

Alternatively, you can upload an image of the front and back of your BRP card in the Applicant Portal. We'll then complete your enrolment from Temporarily to Fully Enrolled.
