Tube Strikes: 7–11 September 2025
There are planned Tube (London Underground) and DLR strikes from Sunday 7 to Thursday 11 September 2025, so your journey to the campus may take a little longer.
The International Student Welcome Programme will still go ahead as planned. Other TfL services, including the Elizabeth line, London Overground and trams, will be running normally. Make sure you:
- Plan ahead
- Check before you travel
- Allow extra time to complete your journey
Who is the International Student Welcome programme for?
Moving to a university in another country can be both exciting and daunting. To help you settle into the UK, the University, organises a programme of activities for international students who are starting a degree at the University of Westminster. We will help you meet new people and introduce you to living and studying in the UK.
The programme is not aimed at Education Abroad or Exchange students, who will have a separate programme organised by the Study Abroad team.
When and where will the International Student Welcome programme be held?
The September 2025 International Student Welcome Programme took place on 9 September. The next programme will be held prior to the start of January enrolment at our Marylebone Campus. The date for the next event is: Monday 12 January 2025.
How do I book my place on the International Student Welcome programme?
The booking invitation will be sent to all new international students who have an unconditional offer on a course and have paid their deposit. The invitations will be sent out on a rolling basis from mid-August. After you have booked your place, you will be sent joining instructions and information about the programme in due course.
Please note: booking a place on our International Student Welcome programme does not mean you have enrolled at the University, and your place may be subject to your having a Student visa and other documentation. You will receive further communications about enrolment in early December 2025. You can also visit our webpage about enrolment or get in touch if you have any questions.
