What happens to your information?
As a public authority, the University of Westminster believes it is in the public interest to facilitate the provision of student information to the public authority with responsibility for funding and regulating higher education in the UK, currently the Office for Students, to be able to commission the Graduate Outcomes Survey.
The contact details of everyone who completed a course with the University will be securely transferred to the Higher Education Statistics Agency (HESA). HESA will then, on behalf of the Office for Students, manage the conduct of the Graduate Outcomes survey.
Survey response data will be processed by HESA and its customers for research and statistical purposes and will not be used to make decisions about individuals. HESA will provide detailed information about how your data will be processed, who will receive it, and what they will use it for. The Graduate Outcomes survey is owned by HESA. It supports the advancement of the higher education sector by collecting and publishing timely and reliable data about the sector.
Your HESA record and survey responses will not be used in any way that could be used to make decisions about you and it will not be possible to identify you from any published data.
HESA have published more information for students/graduates.
If you have any other questions about HESA and their data protection, please see the data protection section of the HESA website or contact HESA's Data Protection Officer:

This anonymous information is available to academics, course administrators and Professional Services staff in the University in accordance with the University of Westminster's Data Protection policy. Anonymous data is also sometimes shared externally with professional bodies for the purposes of research in accordance with the University of Westminster's Data Protection policy.
The data will also be used in an anonymised form to inform current and prospective students (and graduates) of the opportunities available on completion of their courses, both on our website in our graduate destinations reports and Key Information Sets on our course pages, as well as on the Unistats website.
