What is the Transformation in Students Survey (TiSS)
The Transformation in Students Survey is an annual survey for all undergraduate students at Westminster. It is focused on how confident you feel about your academic abilities, the extent to which you feel you belong at Westminster, and whether you feel you have developed the skills to deal with challenges at university.
Who is eligible to take part?
All Undergraduate students are eligible and will be sent this survey each year in their studies to measure any change.
Why participate?
Each year, participating students have the opportunity to enter into a prize draw to win £100 in shopping vouchers.
In your final year, we will send you a report that shows the transformation in students from your academic year. This report will help you to understand core skills gained during your studies and to articulate these explicitly to employers
As a student, what do I need to do and when will I be contacted?
Eligible students will be sent an email containing a link to the survey and a unique identifier in the first term of each year of their studies.
Alternatively, students can also access the survey by going to: https://app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk/s/westminster/tiss-2024, and entering your Student ID to access the survey.
Once you have consented to take part, only then will you be allowed to proceed to the survey questions. You will be presented with 31 statements, and you will be asked to rate the extent to which you agree with the statements from strongly agree to strongly disagree. The survey will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. Your survey responses will be recorded on the JISC Online Survey platform against your unique identifier. This process will be repeated three times: once in your first year, once in your second year, and once in your final year.
Your participation is entirely voluntary.
If you feel uncomfortable about answering any of the questions then you do not have to do so. You can also withdraw your data at any point and you are free to do so without any effect on your studies.
