Additionally, the prospect of ACCA exemptions, coupled with the university's stellar reputation in finance and accounting education, made it the ideal choice for pursuing my goals.

How has your experience been studying in London?

Studying in London at the University of Westminster has been an enriching experience. The city's vibrant atmosphere has provided me with countless opportunities for personal and professional growth. One highlight has been the accessibility to the university's well-equipped libraries on campus. What have you particularly enjoyed about your course?

I have thoroughly enjoyed my Finance and Accounting MSc course at the University of Westminster for several reasons. Firstly, the program's emphasis on industry-specific modules has allowed me to delve deep into practical aspects of finance, auditing, management and accounting, gaining insights directly applicable to the professional landscape.The highly professional academic staff has been instrumental in creating a stimulating learning environment, providing valuable mentorship and expertise.

Moreover, the prospect of ACCA exemptions within the coursework has been a significant advantage, paving the way for a streamlined path towards professional qualifications. The coursework itself is well-structured, incorporating real-world scenarios and hands-on experiences, enhancing my practical skills.

Tell us about your experience of using the University Careers and Employability Service

I actively engaged with the University Careers and Employability Service, participating in both 1-on-1 appointments with advisers from Engage and the Career Mentoring Scheme. The personalised meetings provided tailored guidance on various aspects of my career development, including refining my goals and enhancing my employability.

Simultaneously, the Career Mentoring Scheme offered a more extended three-month period of insights from an industry professional, allowing me to understand my strengths, refine my CV, and prepare for interviews. Both experiences have been instrumental in shaping my career trajectory and preparing me effectively for the professional world.

Tell us about any activities that you have undertaken outside of your course

Beyond the confines of my coursework, my university experience was characterised by a dynamic array of activities that significantly enriched my academic journey. During my MSc, I took on the role of a Course Representative for the Finance and Accounting program, where I actively represented and voiced the concerns of my peers to the senior teaching team. This experience not only deepened my understanding of the academic process but also allowed me to contribute to the enhancement of the overall student experience.

One remarkable aspect of my university journey was the opportunity to travel with friends I had the pleasure of meeting not only within my MSc program but also across various other courses. These interactions not only broadened my social network but also provided a multicultural perspective, fostering a richer and more diverse learning environment.
