University of Westminster signs Memorandum of Understanding with Whistling Woods International Mumbai

The University of Westminster has hosted Rahul Puri, Director of Academics at Whistling Woods International Mumbai, India's foremost institute for Film, Communication and Creative Arts. During the visit both institutions explored collaborative opportunities which culminated in a signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to signify their commitment to partnership.

Rahul Puri visited the University’s Harrow Campus to present Whistling Woods International and engage in discussions regarding potential collaborative ventures. Established by renowned filmmaker Subhash Ghai, the institution has been providing exceptional education in various creative and technical domains of Film, Communication and Creative Arts since its inception in 2006.

The MoU agreement was signed by Professor Dibyesh Anand, Westminster’s Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Global Engagement and Employability, with colleagues from across the University joining the meeting. The MoU outlines a framework for exploring colleague mobility, exchange programmes, research initiatives and various collaborative projects aimed at benefiting colleagues and students at both institutions.

About the visit Professor Dibyesh Anand said: “We are very pleased to have signed this Memorandum of Understanding as a first step in our partnership with Whistling Woods International. The MoU strengthens Westminster’s global engagement by supporting mobility, research and project-based collaborative opportunities in the areas of Film and Animation.”

This collaboration directly contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 17: Partnerships for the Goals. Since 2019, the University of Westminster has used the SDGs holistically to frame strategic decisions to help students and colleagues fulfil their potential and contribute to a more sustainable, equitable and healthier society.
