The visit also explored new opportunities for collaboration including new programme development, student collaboration and mobility opportunities, employer and alumni engagement and short course development. During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Professor Hughes and Professor Bahri-El Din to support existing and new opportunities.

Talking about the new agreement, Professor Alexandra Hughes said: “I am really delighted that our new transnational educational partnership with the British University in Egypt is developing so strongly, and look forward to building further on this collaboration in the future. We have much in common, and great potential for partnership work.”

Professor Janet Jones, Head of the College of Design, Creative and Digital Industries, added: “This is a very exciting opportunity for both the College and University to develop a partnership with a strong new partner and we very much look forward to working with colleagues at the British University in Egypt.”
