John Golding, Professor of Applied Psychology, has been interviewed by Le Monde for an article about cybersickness, including its symptoms and what sufferers of it can do to alleviate symptoms.
The article hears from a number of experts about what causes cybersickness, and also from those who have experienced symptoms themselves.
Professor Golding, who is an expert on motion sickness, is interviewed about when the first reports of discomfort in front of screens was reported in history and also explains why looking at a screen in the dark can cause cybersickness.
He commented: “To avoid discomfort, you must ensure that you have a stable environment in your field of vision.”
