Our students’ enthusiasm for collaborating with their lecturers to enhance learning and teaching at Westminster is what makes initiatives such as the Students as Co-Creators Programme so impactful.
Students as Co-Creators gives students both the opportunities and resources to work with colleagues on research projects that will improve the learning and teaching experiences for everyone at the University.
The programme allows students to share their perspectives and ideas, shape their learning experiences, build networks and develop skills in team-working, leadership, communication, research, giving presentations, and managing projects and budgets. These experiences will support students’ academic activity while also helping them to gain important skills to enhance their employability.
About the programme, final-year law student Melissa Charifo said, “As a Student Co-Creator I was able to be involved in interesting research projects and develop my knowledge of research methods and data analysis. My participation in the project also helped me land a paid job at the University as a Student Partnership Ambassador and Research Intern. Overall, being a Student Co-Creator helped enhance my skills and opened new windows of opportunity.”
