Westminster celebrates Pride Month

The University is proud to celebrate Pride Month, showing support and commitment to diversity, inclusion and equality of opportunity for all our community.

We are delighted to be supporting Pride Month in June with a range of events led by our Q+ Colleague Network, some in conjunction with the Students' Union and partners to the University of Westminster.

About the events

To celebrate the month, several events will be taking place across the University:

Netcompany - a key partner of the University of Westminster and member of the Chancellor’s Circle will host a fireside event featuring the first openly gay Olympic Champion, Matthew Mitcham.

This two-day conference will bring together students, academics and activists to explore ideas on how to challenge prejudices against LGBTQ persons and make academia and society more diverse and inclusive.

Come hear the music play or be part of the cabaret at Westminster Q+ network's second Open MiQ+ event in Pride Month. This event is co-hosted with the Students' Union and will take place in the Hideaway at Regent Campus.

Hosted by the University’s EDI Committee and Q+ Network - with Dr Thomas Moore and Professor Dibyesh Anand as lead organisers - the event will be a chance to honour the contribution LGBTQ+ communities make to realise our mission to be the world’s most inclusive university.
