We're marking Remembrance Day on Friday 8 November

All members of our University community are invited to our Remembrance service on Friday 8 November (prior to Remembrance Sunday 10 November) to observe a silence wherever they are, shutting down devices and turning attention inward to contemplate the sacrifices made by others.

Two minutes' silence and Remembrance service

  • 11am: two minutes silence across campuses and digital platforms
  • Following the silence: remembrance gathering, laying wreaths at our war memorials in the Foyer, 309 Regent Street.

All are welcome to join this gathering where we will come together as a community to remember those who have died in conflict. The service will comprise of contemplative readings and music which represent our gratitude in diversity and the shared human longing for peace and greater tolerance.

Colleagues and students of all faiths and none are invited to join.
