We're holding a food drive at Marylebone, Regent Street and Wells Street receptions from the 4-22 of November in partnership with the Baker Street Quarter.
Please donate any long-life food items such as the following:
- Tea and Coffee (instant)
- Sugar
- Tinned foods e.g. beans, fruit, tuna
- Noodles
- Long-life milk and jam
- Biscuits (no chocolate)
- Small packets of hard sweets
- Crisps
- Shampoo and shower gel
- Wet wipes
The food parcels will be collected for the Penfold Elderly Community Hub, a drop-in centre based in Westminster. The centre is available to anyone over the age of 50 and provides social connections and access to essential services such as healthcare and financial advice. This helps tackle social isolation and enables them to lead independent and active lives. The Penhold Community Hub provides free or low-cost activities for the elderly, such as art, walks, coffee mornings, Pilates and computer classes.
Support of this project contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3: Good Health and Wellbeing and 17: Partnership for the Goals. If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
