SU visits Zone29, the home of student enterprise and career success

Westminster Students’ Union officers have visited Zone29 to see how construction on the building is progressing and share ideas about how it can most benefit students once it opens in spring 2026.

Step up to success at Zone29

Zone29 is the University’s innovative new centre for enterprise and career success on Marylebone Road. It will be a destination where Westminster students and graduates can explore their professional aspirations – whether that’s launching their own business, securing their dream job or exploring new career possibilities.

Businesses will be invited to Zone29 to connect with Westminster students, offering them opportunities to network and for mentorship and collaboration. Across its nine floors, Zone29 will feature a range of facilities, including a cutting-edge digital skills lab, an innovative maker space, collaboration areas for live projects and briefs, a fully equipped podcast and digital studio, meeting and training rooms and a welcoming café and event space. Students will be able to book spaces depending on their needs and projects.

Student collaboration

Students have played a key role in shaping Zone29 throughout the planning and construction process. From site visits to discussions about what facilities will be most useful, their insights have helped influence the design and functionality of the space.

The project has also given a number of students – for example, those on Project Management or Real Estate courses – the opportunity to gain work experience. Not only has this supported their studies, but it’s also given them hands-on experience they will be able to use once they graduate.

This latest visit by the Students’ Union gave officers the opportunity to explore the site in person, and discuss how plans are developing. Visitors included UWSU President Divanshu Airan, VP for Welfare Adil Musani, VP for Activities Vivian Barton and VP for Undergraduate Education Suhavee Sethi.

What’s next?

While Zone29 is set to officially open in 2026, exciting developments are happening now. A dedicated website for the space will launch this summer, providing more details on what’s to come.

Keep an eye out for further updates and opportunities to get involved as Zone29 continues to take shape.
