To protect and enhance our historic Regent Street campus – and to create a warmer, more sustainable building for students and colleagues – we’re carrying out major roof and refurbishment work.

This project will commence from Monday 20 November, with the installation of scaffolding and gantry along the Regent Street façade. During this time, a protective dressing will cover the front façade of the building.

The work is designed to repair the roof comprehensively, ensuring it is watertight and fit for the future. Sustainability upgrades will be made, including the installation of solar panels and improved insulation – bringing our Regent Street roof up to modern standards and delivering a warmer, more environmentally friendly building.

The building façade and its historic features will also be refreshed, and new, energy-efficient external lighting will be put in place to highlight and enhance the building’s appearance at night.

Access during works

While Regent campus will remain open during the work, access to some areas will be limited at times.

Our Estates team will work closely with our contractor to minimise disruption, provide students and colleagues with updates and information, and ensure clear signage is in place.
