Refugee Week is an annual festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. Coordinated by London-based charity Counterpoints Arts, the theme for this year’s awareness week is ‘Our Home’.
At Westminster, we’re committed to supporting our richly diverse University community. As part of this, we want to better understand the extent to which our colleagues and students have refugee backgrounds or experiences.
To help us gain more insight, we invite all colleagues and students with refugee backgrounds to participate in our photo competition. Capture a photograph that represents your interpretation of 'home' and include a written or verbal narrative explaining its significance.
Prizes
Five £50 vouchers will be awarded for the best photos.
