Welcome to October – our Employability month! Throughout the next couple of weeks, there are many exciting careers events for you to get involved with, as well as many opportunities to further hone your skills and get first-hand advice from career experts.
As a few examples, here are some upcoming events that are organised by the Careers and Employability Service (CES) team at the university:
- The Virtual Volunteering Fair, 13 October - meet and engage with a wide range of charities and community groups, offering a range of volunteering and work experience opportunities;
- The Property & Construction Online Career Fair, 20 October - meet leading organisations in the Property & Construction industry;
- Virtual Skills Academy, October – November – attend these sessions and get some top tips on how to ace interviews, build your CV, apply for postgraduate studies and more!
- Recruiter on Virtual Campus, 12, 26 Oct and 9 November – network with employers offering part-time and casual work in some of London's best venues and events.
There will also be plenty of external events and opportunities to network with industry professionals and other students, get some top-notch advice on job hunting and acing your applications as well as tips on event etiquette and networking.
