Nominations for UWSU Officer Elections 2025 now open

This is your chance to run for a full-time position, lead the strategic direction of the Students' Union, and represent all Westminster students.

Every year, the University Students’ Union (UWSU) runs Officer Elections to give five current Westminster students the opportunity to become Officers and enable them to influence positive changes in the Westminster community; whether that's by improving academic and social life, introducing new initiatives, advocating for change, and so much more.

Students can nominate themselves to run for one of the five following roles:

  • President
  • VP of Welfare
  • VP of Activities
  • VP of Undergraduate Education
  • VP of Postgraduate Education

Each role has its own responsibilities and students running for these positions are required to have a manifesto that highlights what they aim to achieve during their one-year term as an Officer.

Just like any other election, candidates must campaign to win! The stronger the campaign, the higher chances they have of getting students to vote for them. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work at a thriving students' union, earn a graduate salary for a year, and gain valuable real-world work experience that is sure to set you apart in the future.

Nominations close on Sunday 2 March, 5:00pm.
