Join the Westminster Employability Award

The Westminster Employability Award is an employability achievement award that helps you understand your strengths and weaknesses, so you can build confidence while studying your degree.

Through completing a range of activities on the award, you will gain experience and develop key skills that employers look for. Watch our video to find out how the award has helped students to get job-ready and helped some of them secure internships at big companies such as Goldman Sachs.

By taking part, you will be able to connect with other students and find out about key schemes, workshops, events and dedicated support available to you throughout your award journey.

You can achieve a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award, earn a digital badge and get the chance to win a £500 cash prize by gaining points and completing activities.

This year, a range of new online activities has been developed and tailored to adapt to the current situation for you to get more chances to score points.

Activities include attending online events, getting involved in part-time work and/or volunteering opportunities, completing online tasks, participating in careers and Students’ Union activities and a lot more. More activities will be introduced in the coming months and you can view the whole list via EngageGo to Engage. You can complete the award in your own time and have until 1 May of your graduating year to do so.

Online support sessions will also be launched early November to help you complete the award. The sessions will help you understand how to complete the award and will provide you with top tips on resources you can use to help improve your employability. More info will be available on EngageGo to awards page on Engage.

To join, log in on Engage, register to participate and start collecting points. All general enquiries can be directed to [email protected]
