Are you someone who enjoys meeting and supporting people, making new connections and building new relationships? Or are you new to Westminster?

If so, the Foundation Mentoring Scheme is looking for people like you, to join as either a mentor or a mentee.

Become a mentor

The Foundation Scheme provides support for new Foundation students as they adjust to university life.

We are looking for student volunteers who have just finished their first or second year of studies and would like to share their experiences and learning tips with new Foundation students. So, if you’re a good listener and enjoy helping others or want to gain confidence, develop your organisation and leadership skills or are looking to expand your network, this scheme is just for you.

As a mentor, you will be matched with mentees from the same degree course and will be expected to meet face to face every four weeks for up to an hour across the academic year. No formal teaching takes place and no preparation is needed for the meetings. Training will be provided, and you will receive points towards the Westminster Employability Award

Become a mentee

If you are about to start your Foundation year and would like to hear from an experienced student who is on your degree course, then join the scheme as a mentee to get some tips and support.

As a mentee, you will meet your mentor face to face every four weeks for up to an hour across the academic year. Becoming a mentee will enable you to get insightful tips from experienced students, get some advice on your studies and make new friends.
