The University of Westminster, in partnership with the United Nations’ International Organization for Migration (IOM) agency, is offering internship opportunities for all current students.
Following the signing of an institutional agreement between the University and IOM, the two institutions partner closely to allow Westminster students to apply for exclusive internship opportunities at IOM offices around the world while receiving funding support from the University’s donor funds dedicated to outward mobility opportunities.
To apply, interested students are required to share a CV and a cover letter for the internship positions they would like to apply for which will then be forwarded to IOM for review, shortlisting and interviews. Successful candidates will then be contacted by the University’s External Mobility team for advice on relevant funding they can benefit from.
Earlier this year, the University was also endorsed as an Associate of the United Nations Department of Global Communications (UN-DGC), a leading United Nations body working towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), strengthening civil society partnerships and youth engagement across the world.
This newly-acquired Association will offer a range of opportunities for Westminster students to access United Nations (UN) training programmes, use UN platforms, and attend events and official meetings at the UN’s New York Headquarters taking place each year.
If you would like to find out more about the IOM internships or the University’s UN-DGC Association, please contact Dr Sahar Taghdisi Rad, Course Leader for the International Relations and Development BA Honours course. You will also be added to a mailing list notifying you when the next internship opportunities will become available.
