With the immigration system becoming digital, all international students with Student visas must activate their eVisa by the end of 2024.
With the winter break approaching, you may be starting to make travel plans.
However, with the move to eVisas, overseas travel will look a little different this year and we want you to be ready for the changes.
What you should do
If your BRP expires on Tuesday 31 December 2024, you must activate your eVisa before the end of the year. You can follow the guidance on our eVisas page.
Before you travel, make sure your current passport is linked to your eVisa and appears under the “identity document” section when checking your details on this page. If you used your BRP to create your eVisa account, your passport may not yet be linked to your eVisa, and you will need to add it manually using the guidance in the above linked page.
