Every journey starts with a single step, take yours with the Global Experience Bursary

Open to all students including postgraduate and final year students, the Global Experience Bursary can support you to undertake short-term study, research, work, or volunteering opportunities abroad from now until the end of August.

There are many benefits to short term global experiences. They can often fit around your existing commitments and help increase personal skills and competencies like confidence, resilience and adaptability. In addition to this, taking part in a short term global experience can help boost your CV with a range of employability skills such as communication, flexibility, leadership, problem-solving and critical thinking. Of course, you’ll also develop your intercultural awareness and understanding while having an incredible experience and meeting new friends.

Last summer, students partook in a range of different opportunities including volunteering in Fiji, Nepal, and Ghana, as well as internships worldwide and virtually, clinical placements in Malta and summer schools across Europe, Asia, and South America.

The final deadline for applications is Saturday 15 July 2023 although it is recommended that you apply for funding at least two months in advance of the start date of your global experience.
