Want to study, work or volunteer abroad? Apply now for the Global Experience Bursary

Every journey starts with a single step, take yours with the Global Experience Bursary. Undertake short-term study, research, work, or volunteering opportunities abroad.

Open to all students including postgraduate and final-year students, the Global Experience Bursary (GEB) is open for students to apply to receive support to take part in a short-term international experience of their choosing over the summer. We understand the diversity of our students and the resulting differences in desires for international experience. The GEB is a perfect way to apply for funding for your chosen experience.

Last summer, Westminster students took part in experiences in nearly 50 different countries, across six continents. From volunteering in the heart of Fiji and Nepal to hands-on clinical placements in sunny Malta. The opportunities were endless!

What our previous participants said

"Taking part in this experience has equipped me with numerous valuable skills that will benefit my future. I gained practical experience through my internship, enhancing my professional capabilities and preparing me for my career. I developed interpersonal skills by making new friends and collaborating with a diverse group of people, which will be crucial in any work environment. Additionally, the experience boosted my confidence and adaptability, as I navigated new situations and stepped out of my comfort zone. These skills, combined with the memories and connections I made, will undoubtedly enrich both my personal and professional life moving forward."
