A new exhibition has opened in The Gallery Coffee Shop, inviting visitors to reflect on the theme Our World: How We Balance.

Featuring works from 11 student artists, the exhibition explores the delicate relationship between nature and technology in today’s world. The artists, who come from diverse backgrounds, bring unique perspectives to these themes, offering fresh and thought-provoking interpretations of how the natural and the manmade coexist, clash and complement one another.
Through various mediums - including painting, photography and digital art - each piece invites viewers to consider the impact of technology on the environment and the ways we navigate an increasingly digital landscape while staying connected to the world around us.
To enhance accessibility, many of the artworks are accompanied by QR codes that link to audio descriptions, allowing visitors to engage with the pieces in a more inclusive way.
Many of the pieces of art are for sale, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the student.
This exhibition was curated and organised by one of our students, Mia Evans, who is in her final year on the BA (Hons) Photography course. The Gallery Coffee Shop not only gives students a platform to display and sell their work, but it also gives students such as Mia the opportunity to gain work experience managing the operational and artistic aspect of bringing the exhibition to life.
Our World: How We Balance will run until June 20 2025. Grab a coffee and take a moment to look at these student artworks.
Artists featured: BABI, Jacqui Browning, Sindija Filipusko, Madelberta, Nic Ma, Luke Newbould, Abigail Pais, Ellie Schuetze, IDA, Marina Tsaregorodtseva and an Anonymous submission. With a shopfront display created by IDA.
