Cavendish library will close from 28 May for approximately 14 weeks, as we work to develop a new, refurbished Library and Student Centre.
Our nearby library, on Little Titchfield Street, will remain open during this time – and colleagues will be on hand to support with accessing e-resources and requesting print items from our other libraries.
A small collection of core texts from Cavendish library, selected by our Academic Liaison team, will also be available at Little Titchfield Street for those who require them – and we will continue to work to ensure that students can access reading list material when and where they need to.
Following the refurbishment work, our new Library and Student Centre – the design of which has been informed by extensive student feedback – will open in September 2022.
It will include an additional level of study space, a newly configured PC suite, an increased number of computer terminals, the entire Fitzrovia collection in one place and a wider range of study spaces to meet your needs. Further benefits include an increased amount of natural light and a refreshed look and feel.
Following the opening of the new Library and Student Centre at Cavendish in September, the first floor of our Little Titchfield Street library will become a reading room.
