If you’re facing additional costs because of the cost-of-living crisis, the University’s Cost-of-Living Assistance Scheme is here to help. Apply by 31 July.
About the scheme
A £300 one-off grant (a grant does not need to be paid back) will be paid to students who are struggling with increased energy bills and rent/mortgage costs.
The scheme is open to fully enrolled UK and International students studying at any level.
To receive the grant, you must be able to demonstrate the cost-of-living increases. This could be:
- Showing where your rent or mortgage payments have increased - you'll need to upload a copy of your current tenancy agreement, rent statement, accommodation agreement or invoice from your accommodation provider showing how the payment has increased
- Showing evidence of increased energy bills - you'll need to upload copies of bills showing the increase in your gas and electricity charges
When applying, you will also need to upload bank statements from all of your bank accounts for the last two months from the date of your application (including savings accounts).
It's super easy to apply, and all applications will be considered, regardless of the criteria.
Apply via the Cost of Living Assistance Scheme form.
