The Academic Skills Summer Programme, starting on Monday 23 May, aims to support you develop and use your academic skills throughout the summer.

The programme, delivered by the Academic Engagement and Learning Development team, will be offering the following:
Taught workshops
- Dissertation workshops: workshops covering all steps of dissertation writing from generation of ideas to formatting. Weekly sessions from 23 May to 28 July
- PASS week: workshops to help you succeed at assessments, retakes and dissertations, and to upskill during the summer. One week from 27 June to 1 July
Facilitated groups sessions
- Dissertation Cafes: a weekly gathering for dissertation writers where you can work on your project in concentrated sessions with the support of peers, Learning Developers and/or Librarians. Every Thursday from 9 June to 28 July at 1-3pm hybrid (Marylebone room M328 and online)
- Academic Writing, Study Skills and Dissertations Q&A: ask a question on academic writing, study skills and dissertations to a Learning Developer. Weekly sessions
- Research and Referencing Q&A: ask your questions on research and referencing to a Librarian. Monthly sessions from May to August
Appointments
- Academic Skills appointments: individual appointments with a Learning Developer to discuss any aspect of writing, assessment preparation and studying
- Research Skills appointments: individual appointments with an Academic Engagement Librarian to help you research and reference your work
