About this event

Join us for the second World in Westminster Cafe Diwali Celebrations for a gathering filled with great food, cultural awareness, good vibes, and awesome company.

Diwali is a festival of lights celebrated by many Hindus, Jains and Sikhs. We are thrilled to present "World in Westminster Café: Diwali Celebrations" to you. This is open to all our students and colleagues.

Don't miss this exciting opportunity to be part of a diverse and vibrant community. Join us at "World in Westminster Café," where the world comes together over a cup of culture and conversation. People who celebrate Diwali often wear bright colours, especially red, on this day. So, feel free to wear something red and join in the spirit of celebration.

Let's celebrate diversity, build bridges, learn about different cultures, and make the world feel a little cozier at "World in Westminster Café". We can't wait to welcome you!

The World in Westminster series is part of the QHT EDI Project, “Westminster for All - Equity, Inclusion and Belonging” sponsored by Deputy Vice-chancellor Dibyesh Anand in collaboration with International Student Champions and the Students' Union. The series, after nine successful events in 2023–2024, is currently running for the second year. We have run brilliant and inclusive festival events for all, including: Diwali, Hannukkah, Yalda Night, Nowruz, Ramadan and Passover.
