Join alumnus Aaqil Ahmed, an award-winning Media Consultant, as he offers his insights on how he has navigated the media industry and what he has learnt during a successful career spanning 30 years.
In this talk, Aaqil will leverage his diverse experience in the media industry to:

About the speaker
Aaqil Ahmed, Media Consultant, (Film, Video and Photographic Arts BA,1992)
Aaqil Ahmed is a Media Consultant with over 30 years’ experience in the industry.
After graduating from the University of Westminster, he started work in TV where he rose up the executive ladder to become Head of Commissioning and Head of Religion and Ethics at the BBC. He is the first Muslim person to hold this position.
His commissions include many award-winning and high profile projects such as Saving Africa’s Witch Children, The Qur’an, Inside The Mind of a Suicide Bomber, and Christianity: A History and the religion strand Revelations.
