About the speaker

As well as working as Head of Talent & Performance at The Telegraph, Tom Armitage is a freelance coach, facilitator and organisational development consultant based in London. Tom’s particular area of expertise is helping high-achieving individuals to clarify and deliver their goals, spark self-insight and realise their potential. His approach is curious, empathetic, challenging and supportive.
Tom brings to his work a wealth of diverse experience across industry sectors. He started his career in learning and development at Barclays UK Retail Bank, where he was seconded to work in Delhi, India. Tom also led Diageo’s graduate recruitment operations across Western Europe, set up a global leadership development practice at Pearson, and is currently in a senior leadership role as Head of Talent and Performance at the Telegraph Media Group.
Tom earned his BA in French and Linguistics at Newcastle University, his MA in Personnel and
Development at Westminster Business School, University of Westminster and is studying for his MSc in Career Management and Coaching at Birkbeck College, University of London.
