The Westminster's Big Idea Competition is the University’s annual student and graduate business idea and innovation competition.

The competition encourages and supports applicants to develop their entrepreneurial skills and to build and grow their businesses. Participants will get access to workshops and mentoring to support their growth, and finalists can get a share of a £43,000 funding pot.

The Big Idea Competition is the University of Westminster’s annual business idea and innovation competition supported by Santander Universities UK. The annual competition encourages students and graduates to activate their entrepreneurial skills; test and validate commercial ideas and access funding to develop and scale their businesses.

This event is a showcase and celebration of the University’s entrepreneurial student and graduate talent. The semi-finalists across three entry categories - Freelance, Ideation and Acceleration - will each present their businesses in 5 minutes to the audience and a panel of judges. The judges will choose the winners of the competition and the respective prize recipients.
