Join us for Westminster Working Cultures (WWC) Professional – Career Insights: China to learn from a range of influential and successful University of Westminster Chinese alumni, who established themselves professionally in China and Singapore after graduating. About the speakers

‘Lola’ Jianjie Xia 夏简洁 (Film and TV MA graduate, Class of 2015) Production and Development Senior Manager at 60% Productions, based in Beijing
Lola is a trilingual producer and screenwriter based in Beijing, China. She is experienced in Chinese film & TV productive development and has helped write, produce, and develop stories in original and adaptative form. Lola is a creative producer across borders, regions, and languages, with experience of working as an overseas line producer, and with South Korean and Hollywood production teams. Lola has previously worked for the Chinese branch of CJ E&M Entertainment, a major South Korean entertainment and mass media company. While at CJ E&M, she supported the production and development of a teenage romance series entitled 'One and a Half Summer'.
Later in her career, Lola joined Fox Networks Group on the production of multiple Chinese series projects as a development producer, such as 'The Missing Half' (premiered on Tencent Video and Star Chinese Channel in 2019). Lola also worked for the movie 'The Honey Enemy', and iQiyi’s series 'Everyone Wants to Meet You', as well as co-writing the romance series 'Flavour It's Yours', and creating/producing the webtoon 'Comic Office Ladies'.
Lola completed her Bachelor's degree in Chinese Language and Literature at the Communication University of China, and her MA in Film and Television: Theory, Culture, and Industry from the University of Westminster in London.

Lin Zhu (Lynn), (Public Relations MA graduate, Class of 2014), Assistant Communications Manager at Estée Lauder Companies, Travel Retail APAC and Co-founder of EASTNOMADS.CO, based in Singapore
Lynn Zhu is a highly skilled marketing and communications professional with more than seven years of experience in the fashion, luxury, and travel retail industry. Lynn started off working in PR for various high-end fashion brands in Shanghai, and has experience working for CHANEL as a PR Communications Executive and Christian Louboutin as a Digital Executive. Lynn currently works at Estée Lauder Companies in Singapore, overseeing their Travel Marketing Communication as Assistant Communications Manager. She is also the Co-founder of EASTNOMADS.CO, a curated online store for Chinese designer brands. Lynn graduated from the University of Westminster with a Public Relations MA in 2014.
