The talk will conclude with a Q&A and be followed a Celebratory reception, hosted by our Vice-Chancellor and Dr Karimov, to mark our long-standing partnership with WIUT.

Westminster International University in Tashkent

In 2002, the University of Westminster founded the Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) in collaboration with the Foundation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Our partnership is now more than 20 years old and comprises various strands of collaboration from research, through the Forum for Uzbek and Silk Road Studies (FUSRS), to the annual Uzbekistan-UK Education Forum hosted in partnership with the British Council Uzbekistan and the Uzbek Higher Education Ministry.

WIUT provides internationally recognised programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels that are validated in partnership with the University of Westminster. WIUT now has over 5000 students studying Westminster programmes in the areas of business, economics, finance, computing and law, along with a number of specialised masters programmes. We organise regular and mutual staff and student exchanges between our two institutions as part of our Global Westminster community.
