Soho Poly, a community-focused arts venue in the heart of London, is running lunchtime music events throughout June and July.

When: Weekly Monday lunchtime music events - all completely free.

Monday 10 June, 12-1.30pm 

Jam session
Bring an instrument or experiment with ours in this fun, interactive and inclusive lunchtime jam session. Read or sing poetry over the music being made or improvise vocal sounds. Anything goes in this explosion of group creativity. All levels of musical experience are welcome! Hosted by professional musician Ian Bennett.

Monday 17 June, 12-1.30pm 

Musical memories and singalong
What do you love about music? What memories do you attach to certain pieces? Has music helped you through hard times, or been the soundtrack to some of your best moments? Share your stories with the group in this celebration of personal history through a musical lens. Hosted by professional musician Ian Bennett. NB: this event will take place in the room above the Soho Poly (ground level).

Monday 24 June, 12-1.30pm 

Songwriting techniques
Join professional musician Ian Bennett and learn some techniques to write lyrics and form songs. In this fun, interactive and inclusive session you’ll take part in group exercises to get the creative muscles flexing and bring your imagination to life.  All materials supplied. NB: this event will take place in the room above the Soho Poly (ground level).
