This series of four classes will be given by David Morris, an experienced meditation teacher and member of the University's Interfaith team.
In these sessions, David will teach a mindfulness meditation technique that allows us to 'make friends with our own mind', finding ways to stabilise our attention and deepen our awareness; a skill which can open up our minds and hearts to a fuller and more rewarding life. There will be guided sessions of sitting and walking meditation, discussion groups and support in establishing a regular meditation practice. The approach is inclusive and available to students and staff of all faiths and none.
- Session One: Wednesday 9 February, 3 - 4:30pm: 'Meditation Instruction'
- Session Two: Wednesday 16 February, 3 - 4:30pm: 'Mindfulness & Awareness'
- Session Three: Wednesday 23 February, 3 - 4:30pm: 'Obstacles & Antidotes'
- Session Four: Wednesday 2 March, 3 - 4:30pm: 'Meditation in Everyday Life'
